Rosaline R. Banks has had multiple roles within the financial sector. After completing her master’s in business administration at Union University, she began working in corporate finance with International Paper as a strategic financial analyst. In this role, she primarily focused on product profitability and work process effectiveness for multiple business units within the company.
Prior to starting her financial advisory career, Rosaline worked as a pharmaceutical representative for eight years. She decided to pursue a career in 2011 as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch after several physicians told her she would be a great financial advisor. She has worked as a financial solutions advisor, a regional private banker for high-net worth clients, and most recently as a financial consultant with Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) for employees of higher education institutions in the Tennessee and Mississippi market.
As a consultant with TIAA, Rosaline utilizes her knowledge of retirement plans and investment products to deliver advice based on the needs of retirement plan participants. While a typical day for Rosaline may include discussions about pension plans, tax deferred annuities, or other investment options, she also works closely with plan sponsors and administrators to implement strategies designed to increase employee engagement.
Rosaline completed her formal undergraduate studies at Boston University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations. She also completed the Financial Planning Program at Boston University and joined the program as a subject matter expert for the Retirement Income and Employee Benefits course.
Lastly, she is a proud Air Force veteran. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful children. When she is not helping people plan for a successful retirement or working with the Financial Planning Program, she is an active participant in her family’s real estate rehabbing business.
