Computer Requirements

To complete the Financial Planning Certificate Program, students must have access to a desktop computer or laptop. We do not recommend that students use a tablet to complete coursework, as the Blackboard platform does not allow students to submit assignments or take exams (among other functions) using a tablet.

Visit BU’s online learning tech guide for more information.

Financial Calculator

For this program, you’ll need access to an HP12C financial calculator. For more information, visit the Hewlett Packard website. This calculator can be purchased from multiple retailers.

To learn more about how to use a financial calculator, students can view a brief introduction or purchase the guide Financial Calculator Essentials.
