US News and World Report has ranked Financial Advisor 31st in its list of 100 best jobs, and 4th best business job in the country. The need for financial advisors is projected to grow by 30% through 2024 with 73,900 new jobs projected. Yet there are only 76,000 CFP® professionals working in financial services today. In fact, there are more financial advisors over age 70 than there are under age 30.
Earning a CFP® certification helps to boost earnings for financial advisors. The Aite Group Study reported that CFP® professionals earn 26% more than other advisors, adjusted for years of experience. Practices with CFP® professional employees generate 40% more revenue and attract 53% more ultra and high net worth clients than firms without CFP® professionals.
